Daniel is a Mexican-born, Montreal-based illustrator. Among his earliest influences are the murals of Jose Clemente Orozco, stained-glass church windows, visual encyclopedias, newspaper cartoons and history textbooks. His work could be described as surreal, psychedelic, odd and humorous. Other interests of his include cabinet-making, travelling, cycling and bicycle maintenance. Although fond of traditional acrylic painting, he has recently developed a strong interest for technical illustration, animation and video editing. He enjoys working in acrylics and pen & ink, as well as with digital software such as Adobe Illustrator, After Effects and 3DS Max.
Professionally, Daniel aspires to a career in freelance illustration, and eventually, teaching.
